Goals are achieved in the calendar, not the head

A milestone still isn’t small enough to do. The real work happens when you translate each milestone into daily and weekly actions that live on your calendar.

Ask: what would I have to do this week to stay on track for my next milestone? Then: what does that mean for today? Keep shrinking until you reach an action small enough that you can’t talk yourself out of it.

The rule of the next action

  • Every milestone breaks into weekly outcomes.
  • Every week breaks into a few daily actions.
  • The daily action should take 15–45 minutes — small enough to survive a busy day.

Attach the action to something you already do (“after my morning coffee, I write for 20 minutes”). Consistency beats intensity every time. Ten focused minutes daily will outperform a heroic three-hour session you do once and never repeat.
