At some point, planning becomes avoidance
Preparation is wise. But there’s a line where “getting a little more ready” turns into a comfortable way to never actually move. If you’ve done the work, the final skill is committing to a date and acting.
Fear will still be there — that’s normal and not a signal to wait. The goal isn’t to feel no fear; it’s to act well despite it.
Commit and move
- Set a specific decision date and tell someone who’ll hold you to it.
- Define your smallest first public step and take it that week.
- Reframe uncertainty as the normal price of any change worth making.
You’ll never have perfect certainty — no one does. Readiness plus a date plus one small action beats endless preparation. The life on the other side of this change doesn’t start until you decide it does.
